October Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Erin Rose Briggs and Amy Newton have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club Students of the Month.
High School Student
Erin Rose Briggs 
- Senior in the Pre-Engineering program at TCTC and at Bartlesville High School
- According to her instructor, Angela Barnes, "Erin Rose is an anomaly among her high school peers, and is extremely bright with a very accomplished future ahead of her."
- Leader of the arm design group and chosen as 'arm driver' for the charter TCTC F.I.R.S.T. Robotics team.
- To be accepted into a highly selective university, possibly Cornell, and major in mechanical engineering.
- From there, she would like to work for "Engineering Without Borders" to help develop countries with her engineering skills.
- Erin would love the opportunity to work as an engineer with NASA.
- National Merit Semi-Finalist, National Merit Hispanic Scholar, NHS President, Student Council Secretary, Rotary Student of the Month, Girl Scout Bronze and Silver Award Recipient, American Legion Girls State Rep, Outstanding Citizen Award, Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), and Senior Service League
- Girl Scout Bronze Project - Erin Rose made materials for the health department child development programs.
- Girl Scout Silver Project - She raised money and created a mural for the Mary Martha Outreach Center.
- Girl Scout Gold Project - She began a bear project, similar to the penguins in Tulsa, raising $15,000 + for Mary Martha Outreach.
- A member of the Suzuki Violin Group.
Adult Student
Amy Newton 
- Amy will complete the Dental Assisting program in May
- According to her instructor, June Lee, "She is one of the most incredible students I have ever taught!" "She goes out of her way to help fellow students who are struggling, and is always smiling and positive."
- To participate in medical missions to foreign countries, and assist with local charity events.
- Amy would like to attend RSU and complete her Associates in Applied Science and further her education as a dental hygienist, or a dentist.
- Red Cross Volunteer and Trainer, All Tournament Team/Bible Quizzing, Assistant Bible Quiz Coach, CNA, CMA
- Volunteers for the following organizations: United Way, Special Olympics, Birthright of Bartlesville, Red Cross, Youth Camp, and For His Glory
