December Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Julia Jones and Anthony Schmitz have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club Students of the Month.
High School Student
Julia Jones 
- Senior at Bartlesville High School and in the TCTC Early Care and Education Program.
- According to her instructor, Tara Gotwalt, "Julia is a great student who is very active in the community. She does great work and is always helpful in class."
- Julia has been a part of the M.A.P.S. program through Duke University since the fourth grade. She has also been a member of the FCCLA for six years.
- Jones has been a Bartlesville cheerleader for five years and is an accomplished Native American dancer.
- To become an elementary school teacher.
- To be a science teacher of all ages.
- Previously, Julia was a Head Little Girl Dancer, Princess for a Pow-Wow, and will be the Head Lady Dancer for I.I.C.O.T., Intertribal Indian Club of Tulsa.
- She has volunteered at Oak Park Elementary School's after school program, helps clean the park, and serves Salvation Army dinners.
Adult Student
Anthony Schmitz 
- Anthony will complete the Practical Nursing program in May.
- According to his instructor, Ruth Howell, "Anthony is an exceptional student. He has a positive attitude and is always willing to do whatever needs to be done. He truly is a natural for the healthcare field."
- To finish the Practical Nursing program at the top of his class.
- To finish the Practical Nursing program with perfect attendance.
- Honor his scholarship from Hillcrest Medical Center, and receive his BSN from the University of Oklahoma.
- Eventually he would like to attend CRNA School, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- Schmitz is the Social Committee chair for HOSA.
- Anthony has volunteered at Mary Martha's Outreach, as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, and fundraises for the March of Dimes.
