January Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Jonathan Francis and Ashley Fugate have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club Students of the Month.
High School Student
Jonathan Francis 
- Senior at Bartlesville High School and in the Computer Aided Drafting program at TCTC.
- According to his instructor, Danny Cowart, "Jonathan is one of the best high school students I have worked with. He is always willing to help anyone and is a very mature and dependable student."
- Jonathan has helped design floor plans for Agape Mission; fire and tornado exit drawings for numerous TCTC classes; a new hammer for Precision Machining; drawings for students in the Marketing Managment class at TCTC; and fall-out zones for the playground at the TCTC Child Development Center.
- He has been accepted to Oklahoma State University with an academic excellence scholarship because of his 4.0 GPA and a score of 28 on his ACT.
- Jonathan has helped pack Thanksgiving baskets for the Concern Center and helps with the Angel tree.
- To complete his on-the-job training with Architectural Fabricators as a drafter this semester. This will allow him to finish architectural drafting and obtain an internship over the summer.
- Attend OSU on his academic scholarship and work towards a Bachelors degree in landscape architecture.
- Jonathan was selected as an Outsanding Student of America for 2008 and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
- He has also helped build three different houses in Mexico with the Casas Por Cristo Organization and he helps the Service League of Bartlesville with packing backpacks full of school supplies.
Adult Student
Ashley Fugate 
- Ashley is in her second semester of the Precision Machines Operation program.
- According to her instructor, James Cowart, "Ashley consistently works above class requirements. She has no absences or tardies and is maintaining a 100% grade average. She very much wants to carve out a career in this non-traditional field so she can be self-sufficient and support her family."
- To complete the Precision Machines Operation program with the highest possible GPA.
- To secure the best job possible for her family's future.
- Fugate is the President of SkillsUSA, PMO Chapter.
- Ashley volunteers her time to Mary Martha Outreach, Agape Mission, and the Concern Center.
- She attends church and Bible study regularly in addition to, being a single mother.
