November Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Megan Duncan and Amanda Strickland have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club Students of the Month.
High School Student
Megan Duncan 
- Senior at Bartlesville High School and in the TCTC Marketing Program
- According to her instructor, Jenni Haynes, "Megan is a great source of encouragement to her classmates. She is dependable and energetic, as well as, extremely organized."
- A member of the DECA Executive Council, placed first in the state competition, and particpated in the national competition with DECA. This year, she is taking one of the largest projects to state.
- Megan planned two Leadership days for TCTC students and DECA students from across the state.
- To attend OSU and graduate with a degree in business.
- To be elected as a DECA State Officer.
- Maintain perfect attendance for the second year.
- To be a National Technical Honor Society Member for the second year.
- Megan helps with the Lemonade Project, which educates 5th graders about entrepreneurship by letting them open lemonade stands. She also particpated in the planning of the class Angel Tree project, and helped gain more volunteers for Mary Martha Outreach.
- Megan works at the YMCA, volunteers at football games, is involved with the Senior Service League and BHS Student Council.
Adult Student
Amanda Strickland 
- Amanda will complete the Business and Computer Technology Accounting class in May.
- According to her instructor, Vicki Bledsoe, "Amanda is a great student to have in class. She works hard and is always willing to help others without being asked."
- To get a job as a bookkeeper.
- To continue her college education and obtain a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- To get her CPA.
- Strickland is the treasurer of Business Professionals of America, and the Chair of the Fund-Raising committee.
- She volunteers at Green Country Independent Living making centerpieces. She also stuffs stockings for children's Christmas parties and enjoys volunteering at Fantasyland of Lights.
