Kelly Eisenberger Spotlight
- Kelly is a student in the Cosmetology program at Tri County.
- According to her instructor, Lisa Meyer, “Kelly is an outstanding student! She fit into our program perfectly and all of the students love her. Her professionalism and kind heart are her best qualities."
Goals:
- Upon completion of the Cosmetology program, Kelly would like to work at a local salon.
- She feels the TCTC Cosmetology program has given her insight into all the services a salon can offer and she would like to incorporate what she has learned into her own salon business someday.
- Kelly's daughter is a graduate of the 2009 TCTC Cosmetology class and she thinks it would be great if she and her daughter could open a salon together.
- Kelly received 1st place in the post-secondary job interview category at her first and only Regional SkillsUSA contest. Due to this, she will attend the SkillsUSA State contest in May.
- She also received 1st place in the post-secondary nail art contest that was held at TCTC and will be able to attend at the state level for this as well.
- Special accomplishments she has achieved include: attending the Supercuts training center class; attending and participating in the ClinicalCare training class; attending the Paul Mitchell hair color class; and attending the Paul Mitchell hair camp in Tulsa.
- Unrelated to cosmetology, but a major accomplishment for Kelly, is a training that she co-developed and presented called, "Family Style Dining." She presented this at a National Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Conference in Las Vegas, as well as the local and state level for Oklahoma and Kansas. The training was developed for families, but she and her co-founder received a grant to present a dozen local trainings for families and childcare providers in Washington and Nowata counties.
- In her spare time, Kelly is very involved with her church, Victory Church. She also assists in cooking meals for GO MINISTRIES (a youth group her church supports) when they are in town ministering to youth in the community.
- Kelly has also utilized her prior experience from directing a state funded food program to volunteer at Concern Child Learning Center. She helped review their paperwork and get them ready for a state audit.
- Kelly also volunteers annually for Big Brothers Big Sisters' Bowl for Kids' Sake event.
