December Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Jacob Pyatte and James Elvin have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club December Students of the Month.
High School Student
Jacob Pyatte
- Senior in Computer Aided Drafting and at Bartlesville High
- According to his instructor, Jacob is a very confident young man and gets along with everyone.
- Goals: Get his mechanical drafting certificate, continue martial arts, attend UAT next fall. Graduate BHS with a 3.5 or high and leaving TCTC with a 90% or higher.
- Current President of his SkillsUSA class.
- Won three First place trophies in martial arts, learned C++ programming.
- Student Ambassador at TCTC and a member of NTHS.
- Donated to the Red Cross, raised money and sponsored two angel tree children and helped rebuild a house that burned down.
Adult Student
James Elvin
- Will complete the Computer Aided Drafting program the end of this month. Is currently doing On The Job training.
- According to his instructor, Danny Cowart, he is always willing to help anyone asking for help and works hard to keep perfect attendance.
- Goals: To complete the course with straight “A’s” and perfect attendance. To go to work full-time at a drafting firm and to buy a house for the first time in the next year or two.
- Active in fundraisers selling the most raffle tickets for the OU/OSU bedlam games.
- Accomplishments: GED, Certificate of completion in autobody and industrial painting, licensed forklift operator.
- Involved with his church and help at the ball fields with whatever needs to be done.
