October Students of the Month

Tri County Technology Center students Cody Sulema Ramirez and Liz Sprague, both of Bartlesville, have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club October Students of the Month.

High School Student

                    Sulema Ramirez

• Senior in Computer Aided Drafting and at Bartlesville High School.
• According to her instructor, Dan Cowart, she not only attends two schools and carries a good grade point average but also works and helps take care of her younger brothers and sisters.  She takes her responsibilities seriously and sees herself as an example.
• Goals are to continue to be a good example to her four younger siblings, show up to work everyday with a good attitude, finish high school and TCTC with Perfect Attendance and attend UCO.
• President of her SkillsUSA student organization and leader with the newly formed student Healthy and Fit organization
• Created the map for the Walk This Weigh, Path To a Better You event and had it published in the newspaper.

Adult Student

                        Liz Sprague

• Will complete the Cosmetology program in January
• According to her instructor Lisa Meyer, she is very focused in her work, but always take time to help other people and the high school students.
• Goals are to start a color company, take that company on the road and become a platform artist.  Her goal with this is to revolutionize the color industry as a whole.
• Class President
• Taking classes outside of school from other licensed instructors to achieve the title of world class hairdresser.
• Volunteers with Trinity Hospice, owns her own business and is a volunteer Baker at Grace Community Church.
