April Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Dustina Gose of Wann and Amber Williams of Bartesville, have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club April Students of the Month.
High School Student
Dustina Gose
- Senior in Health Sciences Technology and at Oklahoma Union High School
- According to her instructors Dustina is a goal oriented student who has excellent academic and clinical performance. She has great leadership skills and her ethical behavior demonstrates her positive and caring attitude.
- Goals: Graduate high school and attain a bachelor’s degree in nursing and work in an emergency room before pursuing a master’s degree specializing in trauma care and possibly teaching at a university.
- Organizational Involvement: She has served as Vice-President for the Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA) and Chairman of the Community Service committee and is an active member of the Finance Committee.
- Accomplishments: She is a second year TCTC Ambassador and was nominated for Nowata County Student of the Year and won the Medical Photography category at the HOSA state competition.
- Community Involvement- She has submitted an application to volunteer for Trinity Hospice, is a volunteer for the Oklahoma Blood Institute and traveled to Louisiana for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
Adult Student
Amber Williams
- According to her instructor she was instrumental in all of her class’s volunteer activities and class projects. She led through demonstrating a positive attitude and demonstrating a thorough understanding of what was expected of the Dental Assistant graduates.
- Goals: Make a great impression at her internship and hopefully be hired in the near future and to go back to school to become a Dental Hygienist .
- Organizational Involvement: Current HOSA Chapter President
- Accomplishments: Member of the National Technical Honor Society, HOSA Chapter President
- Community Involvement: Member of Washington County Youth Court for two years, has volunteered at the Mary Martha Outreach Center, Special Olympics, Relay for Life, and participated in the TCTC Free Dental Clinic.
