April Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Amber McGrory and Niki Rogers have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club Students of the Month.
High School Student
Amber McGrory
- Junior in Marketing and at Barnsdall High School.
- According to her instructor, Jenni Haynes, “she is one of the most dedicated students in class. Amber is always happy, energetic and ready to help those around her.”
- Future plans: To be Valedictorian of her Barnsdall class and then attend Northeastern State University and get her masters in Fashion Merchandising.
- Treasurer of her CTSO and helped organize and implement the TCTC Leadership Day.
- Currently competing at the National DECA Competition in Orlando.
- Placed 2nd in Retail Marketing in the State DECA competition.
- Junior Class President at Barnsdall and a member of National Honor Society as well as NTHS.
- Student Council member and participates in numerous community service projects.
Adult Student
Niki Rogers 
- Will complete the Cosmetology program in October. From South Coffeyville
- According to her instructor, Anita Berna, “she has consistently shown her desire to be her best. She is an excellent example of our best at Tri County.”
- Goals: Work in an area salon and eventually open her own salon in six-eight years.
- She has participated in fundraisers and community service projects as well as being a member of SkillsUSA.
- Mother of three boys, two of which her and her husband adopted. Graduated from CCC with an Associate of Arts Degree.
- Member of Amazing Grace Ministries and involved in the South Coffeyville schools.
