September Students of the Month
Tri County Technology Center students Eric Schubert and Debbie D. Wier, both of Bartlesville, have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club September Students of the Month.
High School Student
Eric Schubert
- Senior in Information Technology
- Bartlesville High School
- According to his instructor, Brenda Irving, “Eric is a small, quiet, ball of fire. He is an extremely ambitious young man already working in several trade areas and maintaining a 4.0 at school.
- Goals:
- Graduate with 4.0
- Graduate from OSU with a specialty in computer engineering under electrical engineering
- Graduate from the University of Illinois with a Master’s in computer engineering
- Vice-President of SkillsUSA organization and committee chair
- Maintain a 4.0 in all classes including AP math and science classes
- National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society member
- Volunteers at Heart of Town Market
- Works at:
- Bartlesville radio stations broadcasting sports games
- Abundant Life church as a computer tech
- Intern at FTS as a computer tech
Adult Student
Debbie D. Wier
- Complete Dental Assisting in May
- Bartian
- According to her instructor, June Lee, “Debbie is a vital part of the class. She is very respected by all the students and at this time she has the highest grade point average in the class.
- Goals:
- Successfully complete Dental Assisting
- Go into pediatric Dentistry
- Help low-income families obtain an early health care plan to obtain healthy dental hygiene practices.
- Member of the Health Occupations Student Association and working on a project to educate our community on dental hygiene with an emphasis on early childhood age.
- Already received her Child Development Associate certificate
- Jr. Kid’s pastor at Abundant Life Ministries, Lead praise in worship in kids church and teach bible lessons to 3,4, and 5-year-olds, in addition to a lot of outreach with the community.
