March Students of the Month

Tri County Technology Center students Robert Cantrell of Nowata and Rachel Longacre of Bartlesville, have been selected as the Downtown Kiwanis Club March Students of the Month.

High School Student

   

                    Robert Cantrell

 

  • Senior in Information Technology (Advanced Networking) and at Nowata High School
  • Nowata Resident
  • According to his instructor, Glenda Inman Robert is enterprising, a hard worker, has a great attitude and is always willing to help others.
  • Goals:  After his term of service with the U.S. Army he plans to attend college for Cyber Security
  • Tsa-La-Gi Trail of Tears Award, has perfect attendance, serving second term as vice-president of SkillsUSA for his program and second year member of National Technical Honor Society
  • Enlisted in US Army, teacher and volunteer at Boys and Girls Club of Nowata, serves as lab assistant for his Information Technology class.

 

Adult Student

 

                   Rachel Longacre

 

  • Will complete the Dental Hygiene program in May
  • Bartlesville resident
  • According to her instructor, Abbie Gustafson, Rachel excels in class, finding time to help tutor classmates and is an outstanding leader inside and outside the classroom. She is enthusiastic and always has time for her classmates.
  • Goals:  Graduate from Dental Hygiene school with a Bachelor's in Science and work for the Indian Health Service. Also expand and spend time with her family.
  • Dean's Honor Roll two semesters, President's Honor Roll three semesters, National Technical Honor Society 2004-2005, member of American Dental Hygienists Association and Student American Dental Hygienists' Association, Bartlesville class President.
  • Planned and implemented a dental health program for a second grade class at Oak Park Elementary, planned and implemented a dental hygiene course for teenage pregnant women at Family Care Services, participated in a screening program for elderly individuals and disabled individuals at Daybreak Adult Day Services, Kids Day Sealant and Special Smiles screening program.
