Beginning Computers (XP)
This course will help students overcome their fear of computers by learning how
they work and become familiar with the Windows XP computer operating system and
its accessory programs. Book included.
Medical Office Coding
Prerequisites: Medical Terminology. This course is designed to provide the
student with a soled foundation in accurate procedural coding principles,
clinical guidelines, use of modifiers and code linkage (CPT) for the physician
or healthcare provider. Students will gain knowledge through classroom
lecture and use of real life coding scenarios and problems commonly encountered
in the physician office setting. The focus of this course will be an in-depth
study of the CPT-4 manual, HCPC and ICD-9-CM. Upon completion you will
be prepared to that the certification exam.
Medication Administration Training (MAT)
This course provides training for direct-care staff who administer medication
to residents in licensed residential care and group home facilities. Book
included.
Medication Administration Training Update (MAT Update)
Prerequisite: Student must provide a copy of their current Oklahoma Medication
Administration Training (MAT) certificate. This course is the required
yearly update for those who have completed the 15-hour MAT course. The
course emphasizes infection control, safety and legal issues and medication
administration. It also covers medical emergencies, resident care and documentation.

Nurse Assistant, Long Term Care/Home Health (CNA)
GED or High School Diploma required. The Nurse Assistant program provides
and introduction to basic nursing and home health skills with supportive
theory and simplified human anatomy. Nursing skills are taught in the nursing
laboratory, with clinical experience being provide through on-the-job-training
in nursing homes and hospitals. Tuition does include books, clinical insurance
and state certification testing.
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Prerequisite: Student must provide a copy of their current Nurse Assistant
Certification card in LTC, HH or DDCA issued by the Oklahoma State Department
of Health. Result of a current TB test (within the last 12 months) must
be provided at the time of enrollment. This course is for the Certified
Nurse Assistant. A medication aide is allowed to perform the administration
of medication in the following settings: long-term care facilities, facilities
for the developmentally disabled, residential care facilities and adult
day care facilities. After completing this course, the student takes the
Oklahoma Certified Medication Aide State Examination (included in tuition).
Tuition does include books and clinical insurance.
School Bus Certification
Prerequisite: Must be age 18 r older and have a valid driver’s license.
This course covers legal controls, emergency procedures, student behavior
management, defensive driving, bus loading, railroad crossing safety, vehicle
inspection, emergency evacuation and sill maneuvers and over-the-road driving.
Students must attend all hours of instruction and pass the CDL test at the
Department of Motor Vehicles prior to class completion (cost not included
in tuition).
Basic Watercolor & Drawing
This class is for the person that has always wanted to take art but was afraid
to. This course covers all the elements of drawing, composition and painting.
When you are done with this course you will be able to draw, paint and view
art work done by others with an expert eye.
