Computer Set Up and Repair
This course is designed for the beginner who has limited knowledge of PC hardware and operating systems. The knowledge and skills learned thorough the course will allow you to work on your own machine. The course will teach you hardware installation, trouble-shooting, operating system setup and other theory and hands-on skills. This is the beginning level course for those entering the network academy.

Basic Upholstery

Do you have a piece of furniture that you love, but it needs a new face lift? Or have you thought about learning the upholstery profession to one day open your own upholstery business? Well, if you answered yes to one of these two questions, you need to enroll in this class. This course will teach students how to assess furniture to see if it is worth reupholstering, how to select fabrics, calculate yardages, cut and sew patterns, measure and sew cushions and skirts. Students will learn complete upholstery techniques. Students must bring their own piece (No sofa or loveseat) to work on in class. Students must purchase Upholstery Tool Kit and material and supplies that are necessary for their piece of furniture. Do not bring furniture piece until second class meeting.

Conversational Spanish
This is a basic conversational course for beginners or those who want to brush-up on their Spanish skills. The course will stress conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and sentence building necessary for travelers to order meals, ask questions for basic communication in a Spanish speaking locale.

Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
This open lab course is for the CAD students from beginning to advanced levels. The instructor will work with students at their own pace of learning. It will be in a competency-based format and students will progress at their own pace and ability. Computer Aided Drafting is used in a wide range of fields such as engineering, carpentry, interior design and more. This hands-on course includes the basic principles, creating drawings, printing and plotting. Basic math, geometry, drafting and Windows skills required.

Applied Welding Principles
For the beginner to intermediate students, this course offers and overview of basic welding processes and their industrial applications. The course includes instruction in the AC/DC electrical theory as it applies to the oxyacetylene fuel system: tack and weld with the shielded metal arc welding (stick) and components of metallic fusion.

Commercial Driver's License
This course is designed to assist persons needing to take the written exam for commercial drivers license. This test will be required of all operators of commercial motor vehicles. The class will cover rules, regulations, laws and safety standards for any type of commercial license class.
