Tri County Technology Center is a Bid Assistance Center for the Oklahoma Bid Assistance Network (OBAN) Coordinators will assist your business in competing for government contracts.  Through individualized counseling, training, and mentoring you will learn how the procurement system can work for you.  We will assist you in developing a pro-active government marketing strategy that identifies bid opportunities from all levels of government.  Our services include:

• Specifications, standards and procurement histories
• Registrations and Certifications
• Procurement/price history

Certified Small Business IncubatorProgram

The incubator goal is to assist businesses to grow and become successful.  It provides an excellent environment for new and unique manufacturing or service businesses to develop into expanded, wealth generating concerns that move into permanent locations in the Tri County area, increasing employment and expanding the local economic base.  Businesses participating in the incubator program have access to:

• Industrial areas 1000 – 2000 square feet
• Office areas 286 or 572 square feet
• Amortized lease rate allowing affordable start-up and escalating over he incubation period
• Affordable, detailed training in Self-Employment, Governmental Bid Assistance, Small Business Management, Industrial, or adult skills development
• Direct assistance from the Center’s team of consultants in such areas as management, marketing, operations, employee relations, government contracting, taxes, accounting, insurance, and locating resources and suppliers.

Self-Employment TrainingProgram

Experience the American Dream of owning your own business.  The first step for many has been to enroll in Tri County’s Self-Employment Training.  The 10-week program meets once each week for a 3-hour session and is offered three times per year.  The summer session meets on Wednesday afternoons.  The fall and spring series are offered in the evening from 6:30 – 9:30 on different days.  Tuition cost of $189 may be shared by two people working on the same project and includes a textbook and workbook that are focused on the written business plan for your business.  Guest speakers are respected professionals with real world experience and cover topics such as:

• Common traps for a new business
• Legal issues and business formation
• Record keeping and accounting
• Business insurance
• Customer service and sales attitudes
• Commercial financing
• Marketing and advertising
• Goal settings and time management
