![]() Tri County Technology Center's Practical Nursing program prepares adult students for an exciting career as a practical nurse, lab assistant, pharmacy assistant, geriatric aide, physical therapy assistant or many other areas. In this program students learn practical nursing skills through classroom theory and clinical application. Knowledge and skills learned in the classroom are applied in clinical settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and long-term care facilities. Observational rotations are completed in physician offices, hospice and home health care settings. This program is only open to students who have a high school diploma or GED prior to the start of class. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the national nursing registry examination to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The Practical Nursing program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. It is also accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. How To Enroll
The program is open to adult students only with new students beginning in July and January. Each class is 20-22 students and is in session for approximately 12 months. Acceptance into the program is a competitive basis. Applications are accepted through March for the July program and August for the January program. Please contact us for exact deadlines. Many of the fastest growing occupations are in the health care field. Licensed practical nurses are in great demand, and by continuing your education you can become a registered nurse. Graduates of this program are employed at acute care facilities, long-term care facilities, hospitals, home health care, doctor's offices, psychiatric hospitals or private duty.
