EARLY CARE & EDUCATION (ECE)

Child care prepares you for a rewarding career shaping the lives of young children.  You will work with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in our three-star NAEYC accredited child care center.  This program is designed to intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically stimulate children.  If you enjoy helping infants to preschool children create, discover, and investigate their surroundings, then this program is the place to start.  Courses include health, safety, nutrition, child development, creative arts, and classroom management for starters.  Graduates are prepared to test for the Child Development Associate Credential which is a nationally recognized credential among quality child care providers.

How To Enroll

The program is open to High School and Adult Students with new classes beginning each Fall. Classes run August through May/June. Applications are accepted year-round.

The need for safe and loving child care is in high demand due to the increase in both parents pursuing careers outside the home. Following is a list of career paths available in the field:
